Biography

Paul Fraulo helps companies protect their technology and brand as an intellectual property attorney.

Paul has over 7 years of experience working with clients to protect their IP assets including their trade secrets, brand recognition, and patentable technologies. With a focus on patent law and trademark infringement, Paul has substantial experience in both helping clients to obtain patents and helping clients litigate patent disputes.

Paul’s current practice focuses on working with clients to develop and enforce their IP rights. He works with clients to prepare and file patent and trademark applications, assert their rights in the marketplace, and litigate IP disputes in District Court. His litigation experience has covered all aspects of litigation, including taking depositions, managing discovery, and drafting and arguing motions such as summary judgment, Daubert, and a variety of discovery motions. Paul has also represented clients through mediation, and regularly negotiates favorable licensing agreements and other settlements for his clients to avoid or limit the cost of litigation. Having worked with both transnational companies and small StartUps, Paul is adept at tailoring his advice and developing a sound strategy that suits the business needs of the particular company he is working with.

Before law school, Paul worked as a science teacher in Qatar for two years. Since then, he has worked with clients from around the world. This background has helped him understand the unique business needs of foreign companies and to work comfortably in any cultural setting. Paul has experience in a number of industries and a variety of technologies including smart phone applications, VR gaming and software, 3-D printing, wearable devices, endoscopes, optical instruments, consumer goods (including apparel), and a wide range of mechanical devices.
